I finally did it! I moved into my RV - dogs and birds in tow - I'm now a Location Independent Professional traveling the country while operating my VA business from "The Home Office!" What a joy it is to finally be on the road.

Summer in the MidWest has been an experience. Colorado and San Diego didn't have the type of humidity the Eastern part of the country enjoys! August was less humid and I'm looking forward to a wonderful September and October. Time to watch the trees change and visit wine tastings and flea markets.

Who Is Karalyn Eckerle . . .

After more than 35 years in the legal field as a legal assistant/paralegal, I decided it was time for a change. To be honest, I was tired of the rat race --- the 1 hour commute from Oceanside to San Diego (California) twice a day; leaving for work in the dark and returning home in the dark; the filing deadlines; the last minute projects that invariably were missing some important element; breakdowns in communication, etc., etc., etc. (to paraphrase Yul Bryner in The King & I).

In addition to working in the legal field, I ran a nonprofit agency which resettled refugees for several years. More recently I founded Southern California Giant Schnauzer Rescue, which resettles Giants. I am owned by 2 Giant Schnauzers, a Parrolet and an Indian Ringneck. I'm a published freelance photojournalist who has traveled extensively. I am the proud grandmother to a beautiful little girl who has wavy red tresses and laughing eyes. What a ham she is when the camera comes out!

In my quiet hours I enjoy beadwork, photography, quilting and gardening. Currently I am attempting to either grow everything I eat or buy it from local farmers. What could be better than fresh, sun-warmed heirloom tomatoes and the crunch of home-grown lettuce, cucumbers and hot peppers. Amazing what you can grow in pots these days Yum. And I've even managed to get fresh eggs straight from the farm.

My joy in life is helping people succeed at what they do best! My experience in the legal field, nursing field, and non-profit organizations allows me to provide a broad range of custom strategies when solving clients' problems.
